Born in 1952, Raymond Jennings began painting at the age of 12,
contributing to a nationwide touring exhibition and painting the
mural at the Kamo High School Library, Whangarei, before attending
Elam School of Fine Arts at Auckland University and graduating with
a Diploma in Fine Arts.
Jenning's illustrious career has seen him participate in
numerous
group and solo shows throughout New Zealand and
overseas, create the stage sets for the New Zealand Wearable
Arts Awards in Nelson and produce large-scale commissions for
clients as diverse as Aulsebrooks Foods in Auckland and The
Peninsula Hotel in Singapore. He was a finalist in the 2006 Wallace
Art awards and his works are held in private collections throughout
the world.
