Huston shows meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship in
her work, employing a palette of rich hues in a dense tonal
structure. Her painterly ability, combined with an air of the
disjointed, a penchant for scenes of frozen movement and her choice
of exotic subject matter - ranging from lithe plant forms, flowers
and fruits to strange figures, nudes and castles in desolate
landscapes - lend Huston's work a sense of the disembodiment and
mystery evocative of dream sequences.
