Danny Landall is a Wellington based painter, working primarilyin oil, acrylic, and graphite. In 1997, Landall began painting and exhibiting his work. In 2000 he completed a Bachelor of Artsmajoring in Art History at Wellington's Victoria University.
The layering of various drawings, text and paint is an essentialpart of Landall's painting process; images are partially revealed and partially obscured to encourage aninteraction between text and form. This approach produces asense of fleeting thoughts and fading messages, rather than aliteral explanation of the work, motifs that illustrate a practiced stream of consciousness and serve to reinforce a particularperspective on the world around us.
