His 1996 work The Shopping Mall As A Place Of Contemplation incorporated a series of television images and shopping mall

Eco-Tourism (images of which appear in his recent publication Bold Centuries) is not an investigation of ecotourism in the usual sense, but a study of the tourist industry and its relationship with the environment.

Sameshima continues to produce work from his central Auckland studio.
